We are currently experiencing an operating-system issue that may cause some VPS reinstallations to fail or remain incomplete.

The problem is caused by a recently introduced bug in the AlmaLinux virtualization software used to prepare VPS disk images. On servers using newer NVMe storage with 4 KB sectors, the software may fail while writing the new operating-system image to the VPS disk.

This is an upstream software bug and is not caused by your VPS configuration or by anything you have done. It affects the installation and reinstallation process only; already running VPS services are not affected.

We are monitoring the issue and working on suitable workarounds while waiting for a corrected software package. Please avoid repeatedly starting the reinstallation process, as additional attempts are likely to produce the same result.

Should your VPS reinstallation fail, please contact our support team and we will assist you.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
