VPS Bandwidth Policy
-
Monthly bandwidth reset: Bandwidth is calculated and automatically reset monthly based on the VPS purchase/setup date.
For example, if a VPS is set up or reset up on 15 January, its bandwidth cycle runs from 15 January through 14 February at midnight. -
Yearly VPS plans: Even for yearly VPS plans, bandwidth is reset on a monthly basis according to the VPS setup/purchase date.
-
Reset time zone: All bandwidth resets are based on Los Angeles, USA (Pacific Time).
-
Bandwidth calculation: Both incoming and outgoing traffic are counted toward your bandwidth usage. In other words, upload + download = total bandwidth usage.
Bandwidth Upgrades
We do not offer bandwidth upgrades as an individual add-on. If you need additional bandwidth, you can upgrade your VPS to a plan that includes a higher bandwidth allowance.
Bandwidth Reset
A bandwidth reset is available as a one-time exception and should not be used regularly. It is intended for emergency situations, such as when a VPS has been compromised or hacked and has consumed an unusually large amount of bandwidth.
The cost for a 1 TB bandwidth reset is:
-
CKVM / CSSD / CAMD / JSSD VPS: $40 USD
-
NKVM VPS: $20 USD
-
SSD / HDD VPS: $10 USD
Note: Bandwidth resets are provided entirely at the discretion of the HostDare Team. Reset cost is calculated as per your current VPS allocated bandwidth. We reserve the right to deny any bandwidth reset request without providing a reason. The HostDare Team's decision will be final in this regard. Repeated or regular reset requests will be declined.
